Inspired by: Floral patterned pants

I found these floral patterned pants on a whim one day. It was a few weeks before Spring, the most tempting time for me to like things I usually don't and buy things I rarely ever will. These floral patterned pants are a testament to a little window of time that is always fun and deeply needed.

The first time I wore them was on International Women's Day. It was still freezing but the sun came out for the first time in weeks so I thought, "yes, white linen is a very good idea". I tip-toed through the melted snow that had turned to muddy water on the curbs and sidewalks to reach my destination.

I was welcomed into a warm space with good company. The doubts about adding a new pattern to my wardrobe lingered no longer. The conclusion I came to is, you don't have to be so sensical about everything. So linen is the absolute worst fabric to wear in 30°F weather. We know this. But who cares really? Sometimes the very best you can do is ignore the rules.

It's this reason alone I love floral-patterned pants for the Spring season. Not only are they playful, bright, and energetic but when I wear mine, I am intentionally breaking my own silly rules. I think I need another pair or two.
